El comité del gobierno americano encargado de gestionar la transacción ha dado el visto bueno a la venta de la división de PCs de IBM. Recordemos que IBM es el padre del concepto de los PC mientras que Lenovo es la empresa que realmente fabricaba todos sus equipos en los últimos años. La venta es políticamente complicada porque Lenovo es una empresa parcialmente controlada por el gobierno chino y mediante esta venta podrían tener acceso a los laboratorios de investigación de IBM y aprovechar sus nuevas tecnologías con propósitos militares. Este movimiento de IBM responde a su actual política de desprenderse de los negocios con escaso margen de beneficio para potenciar su perfil como consultora. ¿Qué pasará con nuestros queridos Thinkpads? Si Lenovo convierte la marca en un competidor en precio y calidad de Dell, ¿Qué marca de portátiles sólidos nos quedará?

La verdad es que me inclino más por Apple. Por otro lado es Lenovo quien (creo que) también fabrica los portatiles de Apple. Lenovo viene a ser como el montador de alta calidad chino, y luego estan los integradores de Dell, de HP etc...
